It goes both ways, sister. She has even more of my support because of the Franken issue. Will continue doing everything I can to support her as an NY constituent. And will go HAM campaigning for her if she runs for POTUS in 2020.

We all feel differently about this. It does go both ways, but I believe in due process.

I understand your perspective—I was so incredibly devastated by what happened to Sen Franken, bc he’s been such a righteous advocate for progressive causes. BUT, as the allegations increased, his reaction is what made me feel he needed to resign

What's Gillibrand doing about that? Not much. Franken was being talked about for 2020. This may shock you, but women can be very ambitious and as imperfect as men.

If it were about the issue itself, demanding transparent investigation would have been the principled move. Set precedent. Al was going to cooperate. It would have been actual game-changing. Instead she ran him out, and nothing actually changes (except now mere allegations enuf?)
