A federal judge temporarily blocked a Trump administration rule that would allow employers to deny women contraceptive coverage. This is encouraging news. Let’s keep fighting back to ensure that no woman’s boss has the ability to determine her access to birth control.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/941774629739421697 …

So you are against freedom of religion. Access to BC is not limited by my employer not wanting to pay for it. The federal government does not buy me a car, not for that reason are they restricting my access to a car.

Political Freedoms are guaranteed by the Constitution, not your tax status. If you say that about all non-profits fine but singling out Churches for special punishment because you disagree with them would be a violation of the Constitution.

Freedom of religion means to practice your religion freely without fear persecution. Freedom of religion does not mean you can force your religious views and ideologies on others. And since corporations, companies and businesses are considered people, they are bound by that law.

So if you disagree with me as a Christian or a non Christian you can force YOUR ideology on me that fertility suppression is a right that supersedes my Freedom of religion? No compelling reason exists to violate 1A rights here.

That’s pretty backwards. Society is supposed to operate blind to the laws of religion, hence why the first amendment exists, and why we have no official religion. Denying someone a legal right based on religion is the definition of infringement.

You will find that it is in most states and in the ACA and federal services, hence the lawsuits and strife surrounding offering birth control in your medical coverage plans. Currently, only for-profit corporations can deny birth control based on religious beliefs.

Since I pay for my health insurance, I would say that is me being responsible! If I’m forced to have it, it should cover it. It covers people’s high blood pressure meds and other things, it should cover birth control.
