Very proud of this win: We worked across the aisle to include a provision in the defense spending bill that will help support the military families who make enormous sacrifices for our country.http://auburnpub.com/blogs/eye_on_ny/gillibrand-b-defense-bill-helps-military-families/article_fead25fc-cef1-11e7-b27d-8be74734f3c1.html …

How about cutting the bill in half and using that savings for all military personnel?

This is not good news. Only ~$55 million of aid goes to military families while >$12 BILLION is allotted to missile defense b/c the White House baby bladdermouth is instigating us to a nuclear war

We could use that for Medicaid, Medicare and other safety net programs to help those in need. *blabber mouth but bladdermouth works too

I support your work, but couldn't $700bn be put to better use elsewhere in a nation with crumbling infrastructure, underfunded schools, and rampant child poverty/hunger?

@SenGillibrand okay to give our veterans more help but the global military budget increase is insane. Do you think we don’t pay attention or we are stupid?
