Reducing contribution limits to offset tax cuts for the rich is stupid!

When an article starts with : reportedly and considering - it tells me not lose sleep

Agree that it's noise. The idea is still silly. Shouldn't even be on the table. Americans already don't save enough for retirement as it is.

Can't afford 401k and anyone I've ever known to have one lost a lot of money.
-
My 401k is up over $30,000 since Trump won.
-
And you will lose it all when GOP so called tax reform stalls
-
The problem with some 401K's are the limited options & high expense ratios. All 401K plans should have Vanguard/Fidelity funds.

Which tax break benefits more people, the 401k or the estate tax? It's a no-brainer. Notice which one
@GOP thinks in unaffordable.

Nothing new there. That has been the Republican mantra for decades. Expecting people to believe their trickle down dribble.

I could live with a meager cut, say 19k to 15k. But 2.4k? So that people who make more than 400k can lower their tax rate from 39% to 35%?
-
I'm 38, and on track to retire at 60. This would destroy my ability to retire.
-
When hired, the retirement age was 55, & you could collect your pension. I can still retire at 55, but now u have to be 60 to get pension.
-
I have no pension. Only the $ in 401k is what I'm planning to retire on, and my plan requires my husband and I to save between $15k & $20k.
-
Well I wish you all the best. Hopefully they won't be able to make those changes to the 401k.

-
I agree. It feels like a bill killer to be honest. I'm just angry that they are considering it.

This is highly disturbing. The GOP wants to trick workers into high-risk investments that are worse than spinning a roulette wheel.
