        $8k of my salary after taxes goes to student loan debt, 1/6th of my salary. Plus $14k in rent, constantly stressed, hole gets deeper &deeper

        We are trying to plan for retirement with $60k in student loans to repay. What Sallie Mae did in the 1980s to student loans is criminal.

        Why does the fed gov charge usurious rates on graduate student loans. At a time when interest rates were at historic lows govt rate is 6.5%
