Our democracy is built on the principle of one person, one vote. It can't function until we restore that principle. It's time to abolish the Electoral College.https://www.thedailybeast.com/senator-brian-schatz-introduces-constitutional-amendment-to-abolish-the-electoral-college …

The EC was not some grand idea bestowed by God, it was a compromise solution. Like every aspect of the Constitution, its creators did not know if it would work as advertised and created a process to amend the document to update it as needed.

We don’t in the Netherlands... and see no need. you should strive for easily accessible and close by polling stations.

I think the gerrymandering and voter suppression issues outweigh any issues the Electoral College have by a significant amount. If they @GOP couldn't cheat they couldn't win.

If Dems gerrymander a district is just, if Republicans do it, it’s cheating. Every time you lose it was due to cheating. It can’t possibly be the fact that not as many people as you’re told, think the way you do?

Or teach civics so we understand the electoral college exists so that more populous states cannot exert excess influence over less populous states. We are a republic and need protection from a majority passing laws to the detriment of a minority.

Either eliminate the college, or add enough members to actually achieve proportional representation in 2020. Maintaining the status quo is not a viable option.
