Silencing women for the powerful, or for your friends, or for convenience, is neither acceptable, nor just.
Conversation
Nobody is trying to silence a gender as you imply in your usual gynocentric manner. We believe in due process and not mob rule to circumvent it for your own political power.

I am a conservative but I have never felt good about what happened to Franken. Disagree with him on just about everything, but he certainly was not given the benefit of due process. It wasn’t right.

Kirsten Gillibrand, you have no room to talk about "not just." The taste of vomit will always be associated with your name.

Yeah - but not listening to evidence ruined a man's career -- for the sake of 'shoot first, get info later' -- you did that. Read my pinned thread.
I did my due diligence.
Franken was framed -- you assisted out of a sense of 'the moment calls for blood' - and you got it.

Senator, Gillibrand, you will have an uphill battle from here. I am a very tolerant progressive, but I truly feel you didn't give him a chance to clear himself if he possibly could. You immediately attacked him. Not a good look.

Neither is what you did to Mr. Franken. Why not let the investigation play out?
Who did silence? No 1!He asked for an ethics hearing and u were quick to rip him apart with no real evidence!Since he resigned wat became of the accusers? No one has heard anything from any of them because they were all lies! U took down a good man and a great Senator!

You actually helped Trump thinking you could further your career and maybe become president! The GOP was scared to death of Senator Franken! And you made life a hell of a lot easier for them and for Trump! He was the best we had against Trump and Russia! Hand-down!
