MEDICAID MEDICAID for all. It covers more than Medicare, including dental, vision and hearing coverage. Let's have everybody covered medically from head to toe.

The Medicaid program is jointly funded by the federal government and states. It is better to have federal government fully fund it instead of partial and have the states look for funding resources and cut benefits.pic.twitter.com/uuZkWKjMTT

I was referring to the health care, not the funding source. I completely agree it should be a federal program. But the benefits should be like Medicaid, which is more comprehensive than Medicare. Medicare is so spotty you MUST have some insurance to supplement.

Medicare For All fixes the drawback of current Medicare.pic.twitter.com/MjZeKp0uM7

So, not the Medicare we have. A new program with an old name. OK.
-
So your only quibble is with the name? OK.
-
Real quibble-idea that Medicare's a comprehensive health care plan. It isn't. If you wanna call a new thing by an old name, you must define it. Calling it Medicare bc ppl know what that is & don't hate it w/o saying your plan is better won't work for those of us who know Medicare
-
Medicare For All is short for Medical Care For All. Unlike the current Medicare, which is Medical Care for some and that too with many limitations.

I think it is a good idea on paper but how are we going to pay for it?
-
How about we take that tax cut back from the rich?? That’s a good starting point

-
Yeah but it's not enough. A national sales tax of even 6% probably wouldn't be enough. First we need to fix why healthcare is so expensive. Drug prices, etc. Then when it's way cheaper, the US can afford MFA.
-
Actually your chicken and egg is reversed. When you are negotiating for a pool of 300+ million customers, you can negotiate any price you want. Canadian national healthcare negotiates for 30 million, that's why their drug prices are 1/10th of ours. It's all about
#s in yr pool -
Well that's only half the story. I've seen documentation that shows that drug companies are raising drug prices for no other reason than profit.

Every prosperous democracy enjoys government managed health care; except for America. They also pay a fraction of the costs that Americans are forced to pay for their health care.pic.twitter.com/b4OV6kvoRV

Well hell yeah! I've been saying this since before the Affordable Care Act. Why should insurance Companies get a dime of money for healthcare (an essential service) when they provide no healthcare? Hello! I remember when the idea of insurance used to be a bit shady.
-
Insurance salesmen used to go door to door with a slick story like those unscrupulous used car sales guys at the car lot on the outskirts of town. Instance companies should not come between Americans and basic needs like healthcare.

No. I prefer free market healthcare and get politics self serving politicians and unelected unaccountable waste of taxpayer money bureaucrats out of our healthcare. It would be affordable and give higher quality care. I don't want your govt Medicare for all. We can do better.
-
We really don't care what you deplorable trumpets want.
-
Medicare ONLY covers 80% fyi. Why not Medicaid for all?
-
Better yet!
