President Trump thinks he’s above the law. It’s no coincidence his Supreme Court nominee believes sitting presidents shouldn’t be indicted. If we want accountability for a president implicated in federal crimes, we must demand the Senate block Kavanaugh’s appointment.

What do you expect her to do? The responsibility of getting Republicans to oppose Kavanaugh does not lie with her, but with US!!! Democrats are tweeting because that is an effective way of telling the people to CLOG REPUBLICAN'S MESSAGE SYSTEMS

I expect more than tweeting. Press conferences... walkouts... protests led by the Democratic Congressional leaders in every district. Flood the political talk shows... political ads with facts about Kavanaugh’s writings and opinions from what they have released. Like that!

They are doing that (though McCain's death and Trump's everything make it hard for Democrats to make the news unless they've done something horrible) And as for walkouts, they have a greater problem:

Mitch McConnel can (and has) cancel their recesses, which you know, is important if you are A DEMOCRAT RUNNING FOR RE ELECTION IN MISSOURI OR MONTANA DURING OCTOBER. So they have to do everything in their power, except the one thing that will ensure Kavenaugh gets confirmed

Because think about it: if they walk out, thus delaying confirmation, Mitch McConnel will prevent them from going home, thus ensuring several of them lose re-election, thus guaranteeing that Republicans will confirm him AFTER November

Let me put it this way: hardcore delay tactics will cost vulnerable Democrats their ability to campaign, and therefore will only delay Kavanaugh until they lose re-election. Hardcore persuasion tactics (ie 1 million voice messages saying NO) will delay it indefinitely.

Be nice to have another high profile senator on this coming fight. Hey remember when @SenFranken questioning of Jeff Sessions forced him to recuse and become powerless in this entire investigation? That seems like the kinda guy to have strategizing on this right about now.

I’m gonna NOT ascribe any one man’s incident warranting DUE PROCESS of investigation or its relative severity to a whole party or side because it’s Wednesday and we don’t need a better reason to not waste our time as the tally stacks.

I have contacted my Senators @ChuckGrassley and @joniernst with my concerns. They both responded with letters reassuring me what a fine nominee Kavanaugh is. Even IF that is true ... it's simply not the time to appoint someone. And they stinking know it.

Good luck is right. Such a nice sampling of what is lacking: politeness, levelheaded communication, basic leadership indicators. Sigh.
