Can we, women, bring back @alfranken? We need Al.

Voting for people because of their gender means you are discriminating against others strictly because of THEIR gender. Shouldn't we be voting for the best candidate regardless of their race, Creed, gender, or national origin? I thought we Democrats opposed discrimination?
-
Yes, however, the Congress needs to be much more representative of the country. Women happen to make up a huge part of the electorate and women's issues are constantly under "debate". I prefer that there be other women in that discussion. Id never vote solely on sex nor race.

I'm a 63 year old white guy in deep red Arizona. I am a registered Democrat and in the primary here yesterday I voted for every female candidate I could. I am counting on the ladies. I am voting blue. I have been a registered Independent in the past, but, no more.

I will never vote for a woman just because she is a woman! My vote will always go to the candidate that I believe represents my own ideas be it a woman or a man!

Hey
@SenGillibrand, Let's play a little game called identity politics.#hypocrisypic.twitter.com/6q07poLDFX
-
That is her legacy. Hypocritical, populist, pandering. Flipping any which way to get support.

Can you tell me the policies that women would put forth, which men would not? I think the office should be 51% people with a fucking brain (no matter their race or gender). This is not in defense of a government with men as the majority. I just think gender bias/discrim is bad.

is this your endorsement of
@CynthiaNixon over@andrewcuomo ? -
I highly doubt it seeing as Nixon is not qualified to govern NY State.
-
I don’t see any mention of “qualified” in Sen. G’s tweet... also, many of us believe Nixon is qualified.
-
Our Senator believes in qualified candidates. Nixon is literally NOT qualified. She’s an activist—that’s great. But please.

-
So you support Cuomo racism and corruption? Or are you unaware of how NYS operates? Literally anybody could run NY better. Don’t sell me on that not qualified nonsense.
@CynthiaNixon is smart and passionate. That’s good enough to give a chance. -
I don’t want to leave the state of NY up to “ chance” . I am aware of how nys operates and I am also aware that gov Cuomo has not been actually accused of any corruption. I am also aware of the long list of accomplishments and deliverables out of his administration.
-
I’ll be voting for
@andrewcuomo , but I respect that everyone has different opinions and you are welcome to take a “chance” on our state. -
Are you supporting Letitia James for Attorney General? I’ve been campaigning for her on the grassroots level—it would be such a loss to NY if she got away. I’m hopeful people will turn up for her on Sept 13.
