We have to show we value women in this country. It’s time to pass equal pay for equal work, affordable child care and paid family and medical leave. When women can live up to their potential, America can achieve hers.

Tell that to the women who do not allow equal pay. Women dont value women.

Did you apologize to Senator Franken yet. You mishandled that, he should have been allowed an investigation.

No apology necessary. Franken made a decision. He's a grown man.

Correct. Yet, the opportunity was not given nor was he supported. It was a political STUNT.

Franken and his pals know more than we ever will. Franken stepped down so his family wouldn't be harmed any further. But so many want to assign blame on Gillibrand and the others. Because some people haven't evolved past junior high thinking.

Your last statement I'll note as an insult. I see your point on your previous comments. I do believe her, Harris and others would called for his resignation acted in haste.

I didn't take personally. General statement. Here's why I considered it an insult, generally speaking. You mentioned "junior high" when the majority on Twitter are adults speaking/commenting on the majority of political posts.

Then why can't more think of Al Franken with as high a regard as I have? Why must they paint him as a child and a victim who couldn't stomp the guts out of the mean girl society many perceive of Gillibrand and Harris et al.

Who's going to pay for this "leave"? How about deciding not to spread your legs to have children until you can afford them? Women are already valued in this country. They already get equal pay for equal work. Equal work doesn't equal maternity leave when the rest of office works

How about putting a condom on? Why is it always the responsibility of the women to use birth control? With an attitude like yours, it’s easy to see why women are paid less.

With his attitude it’s easy to see why safe and affordable birth control should be easy to come by. 🙄
