And you refuse to acknowledge how badly and wrongly you treated Al Franken. SHAME on you. You knew it was a @GOP setup. You owe him a public apology for publicly vilifying him. Not much of a friend are you. Was he in your political way? I would never vote for you.

As much as I love watching liberals eat their own, how was THIS a set up?
@SenGillibrand was absolutely right to get rid of@alfranken !pic.twitter.com/y76JZbXTig
-
If she was right to get rid of Al Franken then Trump, his WH and most of the GOP would have been gone a long time ago too, but they all support each other bc they're all real sexual abusers and pedophiles. You all have a warped twisted double standard of right from wrong.
-
That’s kind of the whole point here. We cannot hold the GOP accountable, but we can hold ourselves to account. We can’t complain about Trump grabbing women out of one side of mouths and defend Franken from accusations of grabbing women out of the other.
-
Then why not give him the ethics hearing he asked for? I don’t see any of the GOP sleezeballs lining up to be questioned.
-
Because he resigned before the hearing could happen. An ethics hearing only applies to a sitting member of Congress. Franken knew full well he wouldn’t survive that hearing, and that it would be a complete destruction of his dignity, so he resigned, and spared us all the pain.
-
The Dems pressured him to resign. I believe for many reasons that he was set up. They needed a Democrat to partially balance all the GOP f**kery so they picked the best Senator. He was a great champion of women’s rights and could be counted on to call out BS. We needed him.
-
If you’re gonna push conspiracy theories, we’re done here. Franken was a mediocre Senator whose record was solidly middle of the pack. His one shining moment was yelling at a couple of Trump nominees, and when your target is the Keebler Klansman, it’s pretty easy.

You did get
@SenFranken to resign. Didn't even wait for an ethics investigation. -
Prioritizing a diapointing man above a brave woman — sounds familiar?
-
Who said he was disappointing? She put her ambitions above loyalty to a collegue. She is the disappointment.
-
Yes, she held a gun to his head and made him resign. She’s the queen of the Senate and Franken has no agency. Blaming a woman for a man’s decisions and choices is disgusting. If Franken wanted to he could have stayed and faced the music for his disgusting actions.
-
Yes because she didn't round up over 15 other colleagues to pressure him out of his job...
-
I guess she forced all those other Senators to act against their will also?
-
It’s almost like they can’t grasp the concept of free will.
-
Really?? Get a grip!!

have you called on Jim Jordan to resign yet? I mean, hounded the speaker to investigate all of the accusations? or does only Franken get your full on attack? thought you were for real. I was for real wrong.
-
Not an effing word about
#GymJordan, eh Senator? So very odd. You really had it out for@alfranken so you’re done. We need him more than we need you! - 1 more reply

I'm a WOMAN thank you very much, and I support Al Franken. Your "work" included shoving him out. No thanks. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/75/Womens_Room_cover.jpg …
