Women in the U.S. are dying from childbirth at the highest rate of any developed country. This is unacceptable, and we must do better. We have work to do in ensuring access to high-quality, affordable health care for mothers.

The issue isn’t just healthcare- a big issue is that there aren’t enough resources (Nursing staff). Hospitals should be able to focus on quality of care and not covering costs.

Another major issue is taking the feelings and intuition of Mother’s seriously. Black women are disproportionately affected in this.

The ACA didn't help? There is nothing affordable about he ACA, rationing would have been the end result had the GOP not gutted the mandate. Your one chance to completely destroy our health system, screwed by Democrat incompetence and Trump/GOP.

And ensuring that the healthcare they receive is safe, respectful, and consensual. Access is a piece of the puzzle. The care itself must be better. Women experience birth trauma and PP PTSD in America more than anywhere else.

She should have said black women, however, black women are too frightening & too polarizing for white women. So she just said women. Perhaps hoping no one would notice. But it is pretty obvious when you just glance at the numbers. Double dip on litmus test of how deep is racism.
