Actually, Kirsten, Rosenstein has been obstructing Congress. You, a Senator, should be appalled at the brazen lack or cooperation of an Agency that Congress has oversight. Party does not matter; Congress asks for documents, Congress gets documents, period! It IS congress job!
-
Congress doesn't get squat while the investigation is active.
-
About that, that is not entirely true.... If it were true, Rosenstein would have used that as a reason to NOT hand over requested documents. Agencies don't just get to say "screw you" to the House committees.
-
He has used that as a reason. Go back and watch his most recent Congressional testimony. He specifically said that he believes in Congress's oversight authority but that he cannot hand over evidence in an active criminal investigation. He and Chris Wray testified together.
-
I easily could've missed that, but FISA warrant info should have been handed over, as well as texts & emails of high lvl DOJ and other agency employees. Everything the DOJ & FBI have done are not under the Mueller investigation.
-
As I recall, Jim Jordan was attacking the release of redacted documents and Rosenstein and Wray were holding that it would be improper for them to hand over raw evidence when investigations are active. It made me wonder if they're looking at Nunes.
-
Gabe As we now know the FISA warrant was corrupted from day 1 Not properly requested no due diligence seemingly to exact revenge on Trump perhaps 'insurance'? If Mueller had ANYTHING wouldn't it have been leaked by now? Brennan was a CNN informant
-
Sen. Burr (Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee) plainly stated that he reviewed the FISA warrant application and found it credible. I don't know how much experience you have working with federal judges but from my experience they are not gullible people.
