Dems didn't have 8 years of Congress. They had 2 years w/ Obama who really tried to work WITH his former colleagues in the Senate to get things done on a bipartisan level. McConnell ended that by saying that it was his goal to make Obama a one term president. Wouldn't work 2gethr

Obama met with Republicans asking for input & ideas on HC. But it was a dog & pony show where he laughed at their suggestions in the most condescending manner. We knew then he’d planned to dump a lousy socialist program on Americans.

Actually the plan that was created was modeled on Mitt Romney/Republican ideas... but republicans refused to work with dems to enact THEIR OWN ideas because a democrat was in power.
