While I believe that diplomacy is our best route to peaceful solutions, a deal with North Korea should never come at the expense of our own principles. We need to be unafraid to stand up for human rights—and we must never abandon our commitment to our allies.

President Trump’s meeting with North Korea was the first step on a long road ahead. But now comes the hard work of getting real concessions out of North Korea and putting in place monitoring and verification mechanisms to ensure our security and the security of our allies.

I hope North Korea is serious about this effort and determined to join the international community. And I encourage the Trump administration to do the hard work of getting a strong, verifiable agreement.

This from the Party that offered, and was rejected, on talks, ignored on demands to end missile tests, and received constant threats and saber rattling. Currently we have no missile tests, 1 less nuclear weapon facility, and talks we are not obligated or restricted with. Jealous?

Your personal prattle is not required. You are suppose to represent all your constituents nit just those who mirror your beliefs or causes. This is why nothing gets done for the American People, you politicians are too busy slamming each other because it helps keep you in place.

Just like we stand up from them in China? Please we will always give up our principles for diplomacy or money our government has been doing it for years. This isn’t new but you choose to say something because it’s trump. Shame we put agendas over anything else

Does it stick in your craw so much to acknowledge the great feat president Trump accomplished in negotiating a peace treaty with North Korea that you have to be nasty about it? Give president Trump the credit he deserves and you won't look so much like a????

And by the way, this progress is not about diplomacy, it's about fear. N Korea is fearful of annihilation. Since Obama didn't have the balls to use this tactic, Trump did .And, we are making KJU look " ok" with this. You're incredibly simple minded.
