Let’s not dance around it: By denying asylum to domestic violence victims fleeing their abusers, the administration will cost women their lives. It shows how little this administration cares about people who are suffering. This is an attack on our most fundamental values.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1006270111328755712 …

So NO other country has shelters for abused women? Or police they can call? Only we can help? I think it's time for other govts to be held accountable for not helping their own citizens. How many American women's screams for help go unanswered?

We have an average of three women killed every day due to domestic violence in America.

So, you're saying since we allow men to kill women constantly we are unfit to assist? You might have a point.

Talk isn't enough. These Congress members need to go to these detention centers in person and in force. Sitting in the office or in chambers arguing has gotten us nowhere. What happened to the grassroots work that was done early in many Congress members careers??

Sen. Gillibrand, members of Congress need to do more than support Sen. Feinstein’s bill. Form a coalition of MoCs and go to a detention facility where children are held. Bring the press. Demand oversight. Do everything in yr power to denounce this violation of human rights.
