In the U.S., these nets are already banned in the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and off the coasts of Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Hawaii. However, they are still used off the coast of California. It’s time to phase them out and encourage more sustainable methods of fishing.

There is no benefit to our country to allow a Senator to serve more than 3 terms. In fact it impedes progress. I can say with complete confidence that is something the 99% both Rep & Dem would all agree on. We may not agree politically but we can all agree it’s time for change

Thank you Senator Feinstein and I couldn't agree more. Was just watching a horrific video showing the different species caught in these nets struggling to breathe including seals and dolphins. It's crazy these nets kill everything in their path..it should be banned in California.
