Driftnets, often more than a mile in length, are left in the ocean overnight to catch swordfish and thresher sharks. Sixty other marine species, including whales, dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, fish and sharks, can also become entangled in the nets, injuring or killing them.

The only way to end these travesties is to go

While going vegan is a nice thought its not going to happen fast enough. Getting laws passed and enforced is more realistic. Persuading people to care enough is the critical first step.

we have had too many this year whales died from being so tangled in these nets - it is so sad They need to stop this in the lanes of the migration of the whales
