Actually weapons of war are protected under the 2nd Amendment. See Miller Vs. U.S. (1939). However the weapons you are describing are not weapons of war or assault weapons. They are commonly used for self defense and self defense weapons are also protected under the 2A.

Weapons of war ARE protected by the 2nd Amendment—more so than handguns. (Which is better suited to militia use?) Can’t fix gun laws until we repeal the 2nd Amendment.
