Deaths due to opioid abuse are at EPIDEMIC levels. Allowing the DEA to consider abuse rates and overdose deaths when establishing quotas for opioid production is a no brainer. With our new bill the DEA would be able to more effectively prevent opioid diversion and abuse.

Dianne, Do the labels on legal rxs have a statement that it’s habit forming? Do people ask the the pharmacist if it is? Not everyone that has a valid script gets hooked. Those are the ones that are informed. Why should they be penalized?

You are not paying attention to "despair suicides" and mental health suicides but the US continues to shadow the UK in austerity policies. The NHS had 10,000 more deaths in the first 6 weeks this year due to austerity in basic needs and healthcare cutbacks. Watching our future.
