Dear Senator: in Texas we have the Guardian program, it’s worked for 12 years and is in over 300 ISD now. There are no issues at these schools. Some tried but were put down quickly and no deaths and no press. IT Works!

I know this is a radical concept but people can choose to be armed or not. This marine doesn't want to be armed in the classroom, fine don't be. But if I was teaching I'd want to be. Let the teachers and parents make that choice. It isn't for Washington to decide for them.

It would be a worst case scenario to have an unstable teacher armed with a weapon. This should be exclusively trained security personnel.

OK. Don't arm the teachers. Plenty of retired cops and military folks who are up for this work. But why do many of our schools have weak security? We protect concerts, courts, government buildings, grifters, er politicians, with guns. Why not our kids?
