Yesterday i bought lunch for one of those fellas i just happen to be standing in line with. He was wearing a ww2 veterans cap and i enquired about it. He was delighted to indulge me and even moreso that someone cared. He was 16 when he entered service.

He was a bit surprised and so very humble and modest. The lunch was a senior special but it was a chance to practice a lil gratuity that i might not get to do again. He wont be around forever. Not sure who gained the most in our short meeting. I hope to see him again.
