The president is WRONG on bump stocks. Banning them can ONLY be done by passing my legislation, or else it’s going to be tied up in court for years. Anyone who says they support banning bump stocks needs to support our bill. #BanBumpStocks

I may be naive about this but, it seems we could outlaw this by changing a few words in current legislation. Individuals CAN’T legally “modify” guns to be a “machine gun” BUT, they can
$buy$$$ an accessory that makes them a “machine gun”. -
I’m sorry to say but this is just incorrect, a bump stock does not create a fully automatic weapon. A bump stock is still semi automatic (one bullet for each trigger pull) full auto is one trigger pull for many bullets.

As much as I ABSOLUTELY AGREE that bump stocks need to be banned, over the last several days I've seen numerous videos on how to achieve automatic rapid fire action on semi-automatic rifles without bump stocks. What about creating licensing restrictions for them altogether?
