I think you’re forgetting why businesses exist. They exist to produce a service not as welfare. A business owes nothing to employees except payment for services rendered. It’s up to businesses to offer benefits packages. If they can great. If they can’t great.

Fortunately the rest of the world does not agree. They actually value families and their employees. It costs less to offer leave than to replace trained employees. It’s not welfare it’s retention
