This isn’t a new issue. We’ve debated the #DreamAct for 17 years, and for 17 years we’ve been blocked from voting. These are young people that exemplify the best and brightest of America, yet Congress continues to let them down.

You should have taken care of DACA when President Obama had the House & Senate. Now it is not fair to harm military and others not getting paid during a shutdown.
-
You do realize the dems tried to pass a bill to pay the troops during the shutdown? McConnell refused to let it happen.

I respect your opinion but find it hard to understand why people who are not legal citizens are valued more than those who fight and serve this country. I would like to see immigration reform, but shutting down the government promotes fear and resentment in the eyes of the people

Trump ended DACA & they were promised a path to citizenship. He created that mess because he's racist. Stoking fear is lying about illegal immigrants and calling them murderers. Even DHS came out and said that Trump admin did not get those facts from them. THEY stoke the fear.

California is home to 170,000 military personnel.......At last census we had 116,000 homeless. Both of which you’ve put last.
