  My 90 yr old father and his 85 yr old wife did NOT get evacuation alerts due to the power going out from the Thomas fire. They only knew to leave because they saw the fire coming down the mountain towards them. We MUST have cell alerts! #EverySecondCounts

  Also, I like to add that County Emergency Response System take heed from Weather Forcasters & NOAA the urgency that certain severe events WILL HAPPEN. This happened to Texas during Harvey. Forecasters predicted accurately 50" plus of rain will fall over 10 days. Flash floods

  We also need local 24/7 non-commercial public broadcasting of emergency info! Now it’s everyone’s opportunity to profit and no one’s responsibility to consolidate critical local info. We need easy to locate facts, not looping sensational footage and narration.
