Positive train control can prevent deadly accidents similar to the recent derailment. This live-saving technology must be deployed as quickly as possible to prevent another tragedy.http://bit.ly/2BMxr0L

Immediately I wonder: who is going to make money off this?

So when that doesn’t work, what will we use to get more $ from the taxpayers?

Good point senator. It would help if you and your collegues would stop caving to rail companies by granting multiple extensions.

We need to stop pouring money into "defense" and invest in Americans and infrastructure. What are we defending, crumbling bridges, with families dependent on public assistance?

It was egregious that the technology was not a requirement before the train rolled. I am visiting San Diego where a tram will go over I 5. I hope this very well tested. Otherwise, we don’t need a crystal ball to tell you what will happen.

#DrainTheSwamp the only way they will do something is if there is something in it for them. More politicizing of tragedy

We need new passenger tracks that are separate from freight. We need a complete overhaul and huge investment in train travel. We are so behind other countries
