I dunno, when I was a kid it was awesome. Bustling, whimsical, progressive, cartoonishly clever... Now it's just dirty & crowded & reeking of urine.
San Francisco is the kind of city where a mayor has to be hands on. It's understanding what's going on, balancing budgets, responding to constituents, solving problems and knowing this city in every street and district. Ed Lee was that kind of mayor and he did an exemplary job.
