Today I renew my call for Congress to pass our bills to ban bump-fire stocks, which allow semi-automatic weapons to fire like machine guns, and improve our background check system. #HonorWithAction

How would that have prevented
#SandyHook? No bumpfire stocks were used, and the shooter stole the guns after murdering his own mother. A symbolic act with no real effect. Bump-stocks have already been bought by all the most unstable people who could afford to buy them, and are not registered. The action she's calling for would make little difference at all, like shooting a water-pistol at the wildfires.
