The president’s decision to unilaterally recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital rejects decades of bipartisan policy and undermines our standing with Palestinians and regional partners.pic.twitter.com/5yU2jS0SEZ

In 1995, we passed a bill to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital IN THE CONTEXT of the Oslo peace process. Today, there are ZERO direct negotiations. By taking these actions now, there’s real potential to further inflame the Middle East.

Buy it was the democrats running platform for 2008 AND 2016. Why the change of mind now? Or was the real purpose just to pander to American voters and Israel?

Since 1995, keeping the embassy in Tel Aviv didn’t prevent sustained violence. Palestinians were already offered East Jerusalem and turned it down. The Middle East is inflamed for many reasons. Stop blaming Israel.

So, in other words, you voted to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital as long as the peace process was stalled and America would never actually have to officially recognize it as the capital? You're a weasel.

Jerusalem is the capital whether you recognize it or not. No country should be bullied the way Israel has been.

Let's see now, what is the definition of lunacy, hmmm: Oh yeah, keep trying the same failed tactics and think there is going to be a different result. The US government has been trying the same failed tactics for decades, lets try another path. :)
