spent a whole televised day talking policy and practice with the Republicans. He was more knowledgeable and conversant with the scope and details than the whole lot of them.

He did multiple ridiculous back room deals to get the votes he needed to pass this bill. After the cornhusker kickback, and special "deals" for other states just for the votes, you can't convince me he attempted to pass it responsibly. I saw the corruption. Won't forget it.
