Every employer and employee—including the U.S. Senate—must take sexual harassment seriously. That's why I've introduced legislation with my colleagues to require harassment training.http://wapo.st/2AqXxoO

Seriously? As a female lawyer born in the 50s I had to take that training. What a crock. People know what’s inappropriate. They CHOOSE it.

Yes, thank you! But some types of harassment training is ineffective. I read that the online tools can easily be completed with no appreciable results. It’s also important that a safe reporting infrastructure be established.

The law firms I worked had this training but it did not help.

You can send people to training but you cannot make a decent person out of a creep. Better avenues for reporting are needed.

before requiring harassment training we should find out if it works https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/observations/do-sexual-harassment-prevention-trainings-really-work/ …

I firmly see it working by removing all excuses for offenders---when they arrive in court rooms!

Thank you Dianne. We all know the GOP majority nursery needs all sorts of daily training.

How about we elect people who already know how to treat people. If sexual harassment needs to be explained they need to step away from politics. If 16 years of education has not been enough education maybe jail time is the best way to teach. That’s how most rules are taught.

Every private sector job I have worked in the last 10 yrs has had mandatory harassment training, that sounds wrong.
