I didn't hear anyone talking about removing the right to own firearms, just banning military grade weapons.
Studies are clear: we need to reinstate the assault weapons ban and get high-capacity magazines off our streets. When a shooter uses a high-capacity magazine they can fire more rounds without stopping, increasing the likelihood of mass carnage. Nobody legally owns assault weapons other than those with ATF special clearance or the pre 1989 era machine guns which require a 11 month ATF check plus continuous checks after and none of those people are shooting up places with those weapons.
