Thank you Senator. I have watched & admired you since I was a kid. My daughter has Sickle Cell Disease & it definitely doesn't get the attention it deserves.
Nearly 100 babies are born in California with sickle cell disease every year. This hereditary blood disorder can often cause serious health complications. During #SickleCellDiseaseAwarenessMonth, it’s important to promote the need for a cure of this awful disease.
