It is far better to own guns than not own guns. Being gunless puts the crooks and politicians in the drivers seat. Often one cannot tell the difference between politicians and crooks. Both tell us do as we are told and give us what we demand. Guns give us the power to say NO!
If it comes to defending myself against an armed individual, I'd rather be armed also then not armed. How do you propose to get the guns away from criminals? Make them illegal? Criminals by nature do not follow laws or rules, what makes you think they'll start?
