President Trump is right that homelessness is a big problem in California. But how he explains the situation is wrong and raises significant concerns that his so-called solutions will only make matters worse.
If the president wants to help tackle homelessness, he should endorse the Fighting Homelessness Through Services and Housing Act, a bipartisan bill @LisaMurkowski and I introduced. It authorizes $750 million a year for housing paired with comprehensive health and job services.

Doing something is better than doing nothing. With our lack of leadership in Sacramento, Emperor @GavinNewsom is obviously eager to create more homeless people due to his passing of AB 5 that will drive truckers out of business and drive up MORE the cost of living in CA.

Rents are too high & no one has the guts to place rent control on private properties! All the new rental property complexes are too small & way over priced for normal families to live in, so no one wants to move out of their old apartments since they are spacious & affordable.
