Multiple polls show that the majority of Americans support it. Police chiefs on the front lines of gun violence across the nation support it. It’s time for Senate Republicans to as well. We’ve beaten the NRA before and we need to beat them again. Lives depend on it.

Actually, no. The assault weapons ban was not a factor and you're spending a lot of political capital on a tool used in only 1/10th of one percent of murders.

This is pretty simple math Trump. You might even be able to understand it without having an aide draw pictures in crayon for you. The facts are right there in black and white. Assault weapons need to be banned in this country. No I don’t want ALL your guns, just assault weapons.
