According to @MorningConsult, 7 in 10 Americans support a ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines. Americans—Democrat and Republican alike—recognize that weapons of war don’t belong on our streets. When will Republicans in Congress listen to the American people?

I agree, mortars, tanks, and missiles don't belong in our streets. But banning small caliber rifles (.223) cosmetically dressed up and not functionally different than many other less 'scary' looking rifles is ridiculous. Most gun violence is due to handguns, and that's the truth.
