It’s not cruel. It’s everyone’s excuse. Is the US government with holding financial aid until situations improve in these countries? Start there.

The vast majority are economic migrants. If they’re actually fleeing violence or persecution, they don’t get to nation shop. They should go to the closest country out of harms way.
