Because of that law, the measles vaccination rate in California has once again climbed into the safe zone — this year nearly 96% of children are vaccinated. But nationwide, that rate is only 91%, creating a breeding ground in some communities for the disease to spread.

If people get vaccinated, they don’t have to worry about it. So what’s the problem?
-
There are people who can't get vaccinated for many health related reasons. Also, vaccines aren't 100% effective so there are people who got vaccinated but aren't actually safe. They rely on the rest of us to keep them safe.

I'm not vaccinated because I was so allergic to the carrier I ended up in ICU, I wish I could be vaccinated. Luckily I have never got anything but I'm now part of the problem

You're not part of the problem - you're the reason vaccination is so important.

People are still getting around the law by forging vaccination records. I alerted one school. Never hear back from them. Hope they took action
