@HUDgov @SecretaryCarson have made our homelessness problem even worse slowing down Sec 8 housing waiting lists to a grind
I’m glad Governor Newsom has included $1 billion in the state’s budget to fight homelessness. Homelessness has reached crisis levels in our state with nearly 25% of the nation’s homeless population is in California. Homelessness has reached crisis levels because local law makers have done nothing to curb evictions so landlords can raise rents. Senator don't you think that $2600 monthly is a lot for a room with a hotplate & shared toilet?

In fact London Breed & Ed Lee had their hands right in the pot when Ron Conway started buying up SF properties & sitting on them. They took $$$$ from him to look the other way. Not unlike Mitch McConnell & scotus seats. Understand??

Newyork also have an everso growing homeless rate which is about 60,000 now? So homelessness is a big problem and long overdue for the attention it deserves and should have been given along time ago?
