April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, an important time to reflect on the courage and strength of these young athletes who made our legislation possible.

I’ll never forget the faces of the young athletes I met who were victims of sexual abuse because adults failed to protect them. Together, we passed legislation last year to help ensure no young athlete suffers that way again.
