Our bill would help states establish a court process to allow that to happen. Already, 14 states and D.C. have laws allowing extreme risk protection orders. The federal government should support other states that want to follow their lead.
Tomorrow, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on these laws and my bill. Just please tell me you plan to go in depth on how you will not just prevent mentally ill people from getting guns, but your plans for preventing them from getting the recipee to build something far more devastating off the internet...." Stricter gun laws ignores SO MUCH!
What if, hypothetically, mentally ill individuals start saying, "...okay, no guns? Fine! Boston Bombers showed how easy backpacks and pressure cookers work!"... The Point? What if your legislation gives rise to something far worse by failing to address the root problems here...?

This is beyond dangerous for the American people who have the RIGHT to bare arms. And to make sure our government does not get big enough to control every little thing we do and take our freedom. Wake up people!!!!!
