Today, Senate Republicans are holding a hearing for a judicial nominee for whom neither @SenKamalaHarris nor I have returned a blue slip. Kenneth Lee repeatedly failed to turn over writings and submitted many only after we identified missing articles.
In these writings Lee takes controversial positions on issues involving race, civil rights and voting rights. Nominees for lifetime appointments to the federal bench must be forthcoming, regardless of which party nominates them. This is not a partisan issue.
This disregard for the Senate vetting process and his failure to turn over dozens of articles is deeply concerning. Both @SenKamalaHarris and I have asked Chairman Graham not to proceed with this hearing and work with us and the White House to identify a different nominee.
It is a highly partisan issue by a group in office that want nothing less than one party rule in America. If not wouldn’t they follow the previously agreed upon norms and rules?
They want to stack the judiciary as part of acheiving this goal.
"This is not a partisan issue" is a lie.
All these unqualified judges need to be impeached at the earlies opportunity- hopefully 2021. Get the paperwork ready!
I do hope that all these forced judges can be impeached as soon as they slip.up which they will. Who is watching over them?
YOUR DAM RIGHT ITS NOT A PARTISAN ISSUE BUT IT IS A PARTISON ISSUE WITH YOU AS YOU DON'T WANT ANY CONSERVATIVE ON THE BENCH THAT WILL RULE BY THE LAW ON THE BOOKS BUT YOU WANT A DEM. WHO WILL RULE HIS OWN OPINION ON HOW THE LAW SHOULD BE NOT THE LAW ON THE BOOKS.
