Today Senate Republicans are voting to confirm Eric Miller to the Ninth Circuit. He would be the first nominee EVER confirmed without sign-off from either home-state senator.

Home state senators, Washington DEMs Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray of course oppose the Trump candidate and would delay the vote for confirmation if they could. The GOP has 53 votes so good luck trying your delay tricks! Oh I forgot, you have 30yrs of experience to obstruct!
-
The blue-slip rule is a precedent long upheld by Senate tradition - both Dems AND GOP. Historically it allows a home-state senator to stop a lower-court nominee by refusing to return the blue slip to the Judiciary Comm. History/tradition/precedent does not equal “delay tricks”!

@GOP claims to be doing the opposite of what they're really doing rather often, it's one of numerous reasons I left the party.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
