Congress should also be fighting to ensure they receive their back pay, like other federal employees.
Federal contract workers went weeks without pay during the shutdown, causing significant hardship for many. I joined @SenCortezMasto on a bill to allow them to access their retirement funds without penalties to help make ends meet.

They aren't federal employees. They are employees of private contractors who do business with our government. Whole purpose of private contractors was to cut the cost by not having an additional 3 million people to pay retirement benefits to, or the cost of ensuring them forever
