This bill epitomizes just how useless our government has become on both sides of the aisle.
Pleased to see the Senate unanimously pass a bill to make lynching a federal crime. Congress has tried nearly 200 times to pass similar legislation. It’s long past time we recognize this heinous, racist crime for what it is and I hope to see the House move this bill soon.

The last hate crime lynching occurred in the USA in 1981, so I don’t consider a lynching bill to be a top priority. With that said, if the lynching bill does pass, the state of New Hampshire will need to revise their means of execution for criminals, since they allow hanging.
