BREAKING: @HouseJudiciary last night passed the first major gun-safety bill out of committee in YEARS. The Bipartisan Background Checks Act, passed by a party-line vote, should be supported by ALL members of Congress. I’m a proud supporter of its Senate counterpart.

Great headline and statistic. How many rights and Constitutional freedoms do we have to sacrifice to criminals for this ‘gun-safety bill’? Is there a special section that calls on all criminals to obey this law?

It’s mind boggling how anybody can not vote for background checks!!! Who are these people that don’t want background checks???

If I want to purchase a long gun, I must submit my information to the FBI for a background check. If I want a pistol, I may need to have an additional check done by local police/Sheriff to get a permit for purchase. The only exception for purchase is a person-person sale.
