Glad to see the House Judiciary Committee hold a hearing on gun violence. This is a public health crisis and we need to act. The Senate Judiciary Committee should hold our own hearings and pass commonsense gun reform like red flag laws and an assault weapons ban.

Talk about a manufactured crisis. Criminals and mentality unstable people commit violence. Guns are not responsible for violence. A society that creates economic frustration and coddles mental illness is responsible for violence.

Common sense - two words. Red flag laws bypass due process (5th amendment) to create a justification to bypass unreasonable search & seizure (4th amendment) in order to strip a person of their right to defense (2nd amendment).
